Darkness into Light

Darkness into Light 2016

Again we were delighted to support in a very small way this years Darkness into Light event in Kilmallock. This has turned out to be a fantastic annual fundraising event which is themed bringing hope in the darkness, it gives great financial support to the Pieta house initiative and the event is their main fundraiser for the year.

The medieval town of Kilmallock is a venue this year again for the walk and we provided some of the lighting to help light up and display the fantastic medieval backdrop that is the town of Kilmallock to this years event. The town  still contains some fantastic buildings standing since the early days, although the original site of the town has moved and wandered a bit. It is also a medieval walled town with much of the walls still standing.

Just in case you don’t know what they do: Pieta House provides a free, therapeutic approach to people who are in suicidal distress and those who engage in self-harm.

Nationwide this year over 125,000 people took part, it is growing bigger and bigger year on year, it’s great to see so much support for those in need of help.

A fuller explanation of what the Darkness into light is all about is here:

Festival Season ahead.

At this stage of the year, everyone has started to put together their plans for their gigs, events and festivals that are coming up during the summer.

You’ve organised the music, put the food supplies in place, Marquees are booked, and hopefully at this stage all the different contractors and subcontractors are lined up to tie everything together on site for the big day.

If you haven’t already, we’d just like to remind you to please make sure to give plenty of advance warning to us regarding the dates for your events this year. It greatly helps to make sure that we can have the right power supplies, cabling or generators ready to go, and allows us to make sure t4hat we can give you the best service possible when it comes a little closer to the time of the event.

While you can be sure that we will give you our fullest attention no matter when or where you contact us, it is better for everyone all around if you let us know as far in advance as you can. The more time everyone has for planning and scheduling, the better things will run on the day of the event.

Fireside acoustic sessions, not everyone's cup of tea...

If small intimate accoustic sessions by firelight are your thing then maybe you won’t need to read this,

but if not and you are preparing for an outdoor gig or a concert in your own venue (from the smallest community hall show to stadium size concert) then you’ve come to the right place.

Two Men and a Hiace

The “good ole days” of two guys and a Hiace

The days of two fellahs turning up to a gig unloading a white van an hour before the first dance are well over. Modern concerts and shows are a fantastic array of light, laser and sound equipment and depend more and more on very expensive controlled lighting systems and electronic sound equipment to ensure the best quality sound and most exciting concert experience for the current crop of music aficionados (They’re not fans any more).

With modern health and safety regulations, it’s no longer possible (or wanted) to have a birds nest of cables thrown all across the floor to the nearest wall sockets like an obstacle course for your patrons to step over when the mood takes them to show off their moves.

We have been supplying clean, dependable, portable power solutions to concerts with some of the most prolific artists both over the last number of years and to those currently on the touring scene. We have seen the way that concerts have grown with the subsequent huge changes in power needs and wiring and our equipment is the most modern, up to date and dependable that there is available on the market.

Modern Concert "Experience"

Modern Concert “Experience”

Drawing our previous experiences and knowledge of what you will actually need, we can survey your site or location, plan and co-ordinate your electrical requirements with your sound and lighting guys, make sure everything is safe and secure (While complying with all required standards and certification), deliver a finished complete electrical and generator setup at the right price and finally, we can be on site (if needed) to make sure that when the beat drops at the climax of the show that you don’t have the same problems as THIS DJ  with everything descending into darkness just at the wrong moment.

When you are starting to plan your next venture, concert, open air gig, or night time event, give us a call and let us take care of the electrical stuff. It’s what we do, brilliantly!
